Super Sunday - 13th May 2012

Hi everyone. Please note the following information:

Due to our pitches being unavailable we are now training at Patchway Sports Centre, Patchway High School. Google easily finds their website which has directions to the venue which is just to the Bristol side of the Aztec West roundabout. My email issues are now resolved.

Start time - 9.00 am arrival for a prompt 9.30 am start at Patchway Sports Centre.

Please save your playing shirt for parading around the Memorial Stadium and train in something else! The junior squads may wish to wear their club shirts and ties for the parade. Coaches should wear coaching tops.

There will be no kitchen due to the change of venue. Players may wish to bring a snack for after training. The food huts at the Memorial Ground sell the usual fare such as pasties, chocolate etc. if required.

Training ends at 11.30 am and we all swiftly head for the Memorial ground. Please do not try to get too close to the ground in a car as parking is limited. As soon as you start to see lots of parked cars I suggest that you park and walk the last bit. I expect that most  people know where the Memorial Ground is but if not please email me for directions or head to the Bristol Rugby website. Parades, tunnels etc will take place prior to the match which kicks off live on Sky at 12.45 . Apart from club shirts as mentioned above players may wear whatever other clothing they like. Please note however that if the weather allows some players will be invited to play rugby on the pitch at half time. If players wish to be considered for this they will need to wear appropriate clothing such as shorts or tracksuit bottoms as well as bringing their boots and gum shield.

I expect the game to end just after 2.35 pm. Unaccompanied players may be collected as soon as the match finishes but it may be easier for those collecting to wait around 30 minutes to allow the bulk of the crowd to leave. It should then be possible to park in the club car park. We will keep players on the Blackthorn Terrace which is between the clubhouse and the pitch with easy access to the car park. Player may wish to bring something to collect autographs after the match. I will wait until everyone has been collected!

Anyone who wishes to come but has not yet registered should email me asap. As long as I know how many are coming that is fine. You would need to pay cash upon arrival on Sunday.
