Welcome to NBRFC U7s Season 2008 - 2009

Mini Rugby Boys and Girls U7s

NBRFC Junior Section would like to welcome you and your child/children to the club. The Mini Section provides a fun and structured training session once a week at 10:45 on a Sunday morning. The Under 7s age group play a variation of Rugby called Tag Rugby. Tag Rugby is a fast-moving, non-contact invasion game suitable for boys and girls to play together. It's safe, non-contact nature, combined with the fun and vibrancies of the sport, has meant that mini tag is now the RFU's official version of Rugby for Under 7s.

No matter what your ability or gender there will always be a game for everyone with the emphasis on the enjoyment of a wonderful game in a safe and controlled environment. When a game is in progress the children not playing will carry on with a training session until it is their turn to play. There is no favouritism or positions to worry about and all children whatever their ability will play their part in the game. We would request at this time however, that you remain on the touchline, or another person to do so as responsible for your child.

Your lead coach from now on and hopefully (if you stay playing) until Colts level will be Jon Payne. As with all of the good coaches before he is a parent volunteer, he and his coaching staff have attended official RFU Tag coaching courses to ensure we get the best out of them and the best for the children. All have been CRB checked and have (unbeknown to their wives) boundless energy and enthusiasm and are relishing the task ahead. Why not come on down and try them out during the 2008-2009 season which starts on the 1st weekend of Sept.

During the season the Jon and his Coaching staff will be working towards the Key learning objectives they have set themselves for the children.
