Welcome to NBRFC U12s Season 2008/2009 - New Members Positively Encouraged

Well if you didn't know it yet there's a new rugby season upon us. If you are a new reader of this page and your child in Y7 at school come on down and give rugby a whirl.

“Winning is only half of it - Having fun is the other half.”

We have an exciting season ahead of us, lots a great fixtures and training for all players. The Key this year will be to do the basics well and improve our fitness whilst engendering great teamwork and support from all players. We shall be utilising Key Learning Objectives that will dove tail in with the RFU Proficiency Awards which the children will tested against regularly which will hopefully improve their skill base. However you must beware Parents as the children will need to do homework to achieve their goals so you will become involved….. As with the rest of the club we train on Sunday mornings and we have Thursday evenings at the club under floodlights. Come and join us as it won't be long before you are integrated great bunch of friendly kids. Although we have healthy numbers within this age group we are constantly recruiting. Don't worry if you're over age, come along and train with us and before long we'll have an U14 age group. This has been proven by the fact that we are now running 6 age groups as opposed to 4 children at the beginning of the 2003 season. So if you find that your football, rugby, cricket team etc won't play you regularily enough come to Oaklands where you will be assured of a game, an action packed season and a brilliant end of season tour.

WE WANT YOU AS A NEW RECRUIT!!!!

We will advise you on what kit you require and will fund raise to enable your child to have a loan shirt of their own. Our commitment to you is a full season of our time, not only during training and games but also behind the scenes desperately trying to improve the North Bristol experience for you and your childAs you will see from the rest of the web site we are a very friendly social team, use the facilities, gain new friendships - Come and join in with the fun

As volunteer coaches our commitment to you is a full season of our time, not only during training and games but also behind the scenes desperately trying to improve the North Bristol experience for you and your child. We expect a similar commitment from you and your child, we expect your child to be on the pitch 10:45 sharp on Sundays and if you intend to attend training on Thursday nights 6pm sharp ready to train. We have very little time to try and teach a great deal so every minute is valuable to us also ensure that you have drinks and snacks readily available by the side of the pitch.
