Our aim is to provide rugby for children from U6s to U19s, both boys and girls, in a friendly, successful environment. From the very youngest learning to pick up a ball and run with it to County and hopefully one day even England Elite Squad members, we cater for players of all abilities and interest in the game of rugby. The Minis cater for the U6 - U12 age groups whilst the Juniors cater for U12 and upwards. We'd like to take this opportunity to browse the playing pages of the club and get a feel for what we are trying to achieve which is a quite a lot when you consider we are all amateurs with a professional approach. Fun first and results second that's how we like to see and judge ourselves. Of course we'd like to win but it's not all about that is it? ask the children or their parents and that's what they'll tell you.You should play rugby to have fun. Its all about running with the ball and enjoying it. The winning, although nice, comes second, although you must play to win at all times. Oaklands is our sprititual home and this is where you will see us operating from unless the pitches are waterlogged. Sundays and Thursdays are designated Junior & Mini training times with approx 50% of Sundays given up to fixtures. In line with the RFU Continuum the Minis do not play competitive matches for the first 4 weeks of the season whereby every Sunday is given up to training.
